Burda raises stake in Showroom

Showroom is the leading marketplace for independent designer fashion in Poland (www.showroom.pl). Since the start of the German platform (www.showroom.de) in 2015, the brand has rapidly grown in the market. To further support this path, Burda has raised its stake to 64 percent, while the founders Michal Juda and Jasiek Stasz hold a combined 36 percent of the companies’ shares.

To further support the management’s strategy of growth and expansion into additional countries, Burda has paid in this year’s entire investment round”, says Christian Teichmann, Managing Director of BurdaPrincipal Investments.

On 1.8.2016 Christian Graggaber has taken over the leadership of the Berlin-based German Showroom team. Graggaber has worked as chief digital officer (CDO) for Burda Russia since 2013. He will strengthen the German team and work on the ramp up of Showroom Germany. In order to boost the presence of the brand, Showroom has opened a showroom space in Linienstraße 77, in the heart of the Berlin fashion scene.
